• This proverb clearly tells that one should not attempt to borrow anything. In the words of swami Vivekananda, ‘Every soul is potentially divine’.
  • This means that everyone is unique. As there are faces, likewise there are individual capacities.
  • We do come across so many people in day to day life who imitate othiers. This imitation will not last long. One day it will come to an end.
  • Borrowed garments never fit will. The garment is stitched for someone else based on the size.
  • In such case it may not suit everyone. Also it has to be returned one day. In any way one cannot become the absolute owner of it.
  • Similar is the case with imitation. Imitation can give us only temporary relief, tenmporary pleasure and temporary solution. Once the truth is revealed, we put into trouble.
  • We have to lose whatever we have gained through imitation. Everyone of us must develop our own original thoughts.
  • Following others opinions or ideas maybe interesting or useful but in the long run we face problems.
