This proverb tells that one can learn everything from experience. In this way, the experience becomes our teacher.
Experience may come to us in two ways. Once way is, it comes from others experience that passed on to us. We need not try and gain experience. Secondly, we may follow others’ experiences and be successful in life. We cannot say this kind of experience is not effective. However, it is not as effective as one’s own experience.
Our life time is not sufficient to learn everything through our personal experience. There is no end to learning. Hence we have to decide, which one to be experienced.
In some cases our predecessors, parents and elders’ experiences can be followed. However certain things have to be learnt only through personal experience.
Merely reading books and journals cannot make a doctor efficient. There must be practical knowledge to become efficient.
